About

It all started under a tree in my parents front yard… in the desert of Riverside California.
Quashi Surfboards was born. 35 years later, I am still in love with being an entrepreneur
and I have been a serial entrepreneur ever since.

Storyline

1982

Patrick discovers surfing…. I could say the rest is history but I will leave you with a little more details. Reggae Foundation band is started and his deep study of cultures begins.

1987

Patrick starts toying with the idea of starting a surfing company, draws up logo, designs clothing and starts studying how surfboards are made. Patrick makes one of his first surf trips to Mexico – Baja and Cabo San Lucas. Travel bug has bitten…

1990

Patrick left his home school, friends, family and comfort to head out to Honolulu Hawaii, and complete his Senior Year of High School – living in the dorm, surfing every day and learning how to shape surfboards from some of Hawaii’s top surfboard shapers of the day.

1992

Patrick returns from Hawaii to start university at La Sierra University in Riverside California – obtaining his BS. Degree in Public Health (1998)

1996

The itch to be in the tropics hits again and University is put on hold for a year so he can move to Allajuella – Costa Rica where he takes a position teaching English to patrons and the ministerial studies group at the Universidad UNADECA.

1998

Patrick comes home from Costa Rica, finishes up college and starts back up Quashi Surfboards making surfboards and apparel and grows the brand to selling in 14 countries and sponsoring the Jamaica Surfing Association and Jamaica National Surf Team.

1999

Patrick starts working in San Diego at the Vista Community Clinic – the areas largest 501c3 non profit Public Health clinic and stays for 8 years working his way to Project Manager overseeing 15 staff and a $10 Million dollar budget. The book about the initiative and results of the work done by the clinic the teams work is published by the California Wellness Foundation.

2007

After getting married, starting his family, working his job and running his “Hobby” – Quashi International” – Patrick begins buying, fixing and flipping houses and grew his “Hobby Business” to where he was making more at the business than working for the clinic.. he decided to quit, move to Florida to be closer to the Caribbean where his business was focusing on.

2012-2014

Patrick decides to go back to school and enrolls at Florida Atlantic Executive Masters of Business program. Obtains his MBA in International Business with a emphasis in Finance, Certificate of Financial Analysis, and Bloomberg Certifcation – in 2014 he continues on to complete and obtain the Certificates of Financial Services (CFP classwork completed).

2015-2019

Patrick does many different jobs while seeking to find his path… from Morgan Stanley (WAA Program) Wealth Associate Advisor program, Insurance sales at Northwestern Mutual, trading at a Managed Futures Hedge Fund, and as an Senior Analyst at Wallstreet Research.

2019-2024

Patrick takes a shift and returns to a full on focus on his entrepreneurial skill set. Rude Bwoy Spirits brand is started and he starts a Spirits Distribution company to support and grow the brand thru marketing, sales and licensed distribution. The company is still in operation today – Patrick has shifted the distribution to the countries top distribution companies including Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA’s – Southern Eagle and others.

Today

Now Patrick is focused on growing his real estate portfolio, developing property in the Caribbean and running his Financial Services firm… and much more. Stick around to see what else he gets into!
